The Competition will take place on March 3rd and 4th of 2018 at the Levine School of Music at the Silver Spring Library 2nd Floor, 900 Wayne Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910
The applications must be received by January 20, 2018.
The application fee for each contestant is $110. Applications received after the December 20th deadline will have an additional $50 late fee.
The results of the preliminary rounds will be announced on February 5, 2018. The results will be posted on the Competition’s website.
The application fee is non-refundable.
The participation costs such as travel, room and board are to be covered by the contestants.
In rare cases, competitors may enter the competition in an age category higher than their actual age. Applicants who meet these requirements must write an appeal to the competition committee and in their teacher's recommendation letter, include an explanation for their appeal.
All works are to be performed by memory. The repetition in the Polonaises are at the discretion of the contestants.
The competition program will be performed in the order determined by the competition committee.
The order of performers will be determined by the competition committee.
The competition jury reserves the right to stop a contestant who exceeds the time limit of his/her performance.
The competition will be open to the public.
The international jury will be chosen by the competition committee.
The verdict of the jury is final.
The contestants, parents, and teachers are prohibited to personally contact the jury members, during the competition.
The prizewinners are obliged to perform at the Winners Concert as well as all the competition events without additional gratification.
The Winners Concert’s program will be determined by the jury.
Non-compliance with any of the rules disqualifies a contestant from participating.
